Eforturile sale s-au concentrat pe două planuri: organizatoric (punand bazele unei vieţi artistice moderne, prin iniţierea unor expoziţii colective, care au creat un curent de opinie favorabil pictorilor, schimband astfel şi percepţia socială asupra statutului lor) şi artistic. Lucrarea este ilustrată prin 121 de tablouri, cu temă istorică, rurală, orientală, natură moartă, scene de gen etc.

The album concisely pursues the biographic and artistic journey of the Romanian painter, founder of the School of Belle Arte in Bucharest. In the process of becoming of this modern school of painting, the art of Aman represents the first artistic experience that reached a European level. His efforts concentrated on two levels: the organizational one (he set the grounds of a modern artistic life by initiating collective exhibitions, that created a auspicious trend of opinion towards painters, thus changing the social perception regarding their statute) and the artistic one. The book is illustrated by 121 paintings with historical, rustic, oriental, still life or genre themes.

L’album trace brièvement la biographie et l’activité artistique du peintre roumain, fondateur de l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Bucarest. Dans le processus d’évolution de l’école roumaine de peinture, l’art d’Aman représente la première expérience artistique de niveau européen. Ses efforts se sont concentrés sur deux plans : organisationnel (jetant les fondements d’une vie artistique moderne, grace à l’initiative des expositions collectives qui ont créé un courant d’opinions favorable aux peintres et ont changé, de ce fait, la perception sociale concernant leur statut) et artistique. L’ouvrage est illustré avec 121 tableaux au thème historique, rural, ou bien oriental, des natures mortes, des scènes de genre, etc.
