Peisaje, naturi statice, nuduri redate intr-o atmosferă de rafinată senzualitate, combinaţii subtile ale tonurilor de culoare, acorduri cromatice de o copleşitoare delicateţe – toate aceste măiestre realizări ale penelului marelui pictor Theodor Pallady il invită pe privitor la contemplare, reflecţie, admiraţie. Sunt tablouri mai puţin cunoscute publicului de azi (multe provenind din colecţii particulare), ale căror insuşiri trezesc interesul faţă de opera acestui senior al picturii romaneşti. Artistul s-a dovedit a fi păstrătorul unui tezaur de sensibilitate şi de tradiţie artistică ce-l leagă de creaţiile maeştrilor anonimi, zugravi ai frescelor din vechile lăcaşuri de cult moldoveneşti, in sensul construcţiei simple şi riguroase, al stilizărilor intemeiate pe o desăvarşită logică a simplificărilor, a cromaticii rafinate, amintind transparenţa culorilor vegetale. Intre Pallady şi Matisse, colegi in atelierul aceluiaşi maestru de la Paris, dar mai ales prieteni de o viaţă, s-au remarcat unele similitudini; şi totuşi, deşi aceeaşi tendinţă de sinteză apare la amandoi, Matisse se dovedeşte mai decorativ şi mai abstract, iar Pallady mai intim şi mai rafinat. Pentru bucuria de a privi opere excepţionale, pentru privilegiul de a urmări, prin paginile Corespondenţei, amiciţia deosebită dintre cei doi artişti de excepţie, pentru dreptul primit de a-l cunoaşte pe Pallady, cel care se confesează in Jurnal, şi pentru că era necesar să ne fie din nou aproape, vă invităm să deschideţi albumul dedicat lui şi apărut in ingrijirea lui Alexandru Cebuc, acelaşi pasionat de Marea Pictură.
Pallady
Landscapes, still natures, nudes rendered in a sophisticated sensual atmosphere, subtle combination of shades, chromatic compositions of an overwhelming delicacy – all these remarkable accomplishments of the great painter Theodor Pallady invite the spectator to contemplate, reflect and admire. These aren`t well known paintings to the contemporary public (many of them are in private collections), but their characteristics evoke interest towards the work of this true senior of Romanian painting. The artist was proven to be the guardian of a real treasure of sensibility and artistic tradition that connects him to the works of the anonymous masters, painters of the frescoes in the ancient Moldavian churches, as to the simple and rigorous structure, to stylizations based on a perfect logics of simplicity, of subtle chromatic, recalling the transparency of vegetable colors. Between Pallady and Matisse, colleagues in the studio of their master in Paris and lifetime friends, were noticed some similarities; although this tendency towards synthesis can be discovered to both of them, Matisse proves to be more ornamental and abstract, while Pallady, more intimate and more subtle. For the delight to admire exceptional works, for the benefit of discovering, through the pages of Correspondence, the remarkable friendship between two exceptional artists, for the given right of getting to know Pallady who is confessing in his Journal and for the urge to feel him close to us again we invite you to open the album consecrated to him and published under the supervision of Alexandru Cebuc, passionate for the Great Painting.

Paysages, natures mortes, nus présentés dans une atmosphère de raffinée sensualité, des combinaisons subtiles des tons de couleur, des accords chromatiques d’une profonde délicatesse – toutes ces merveilleuses exécutions du pinceau du grand peintre Theodor Pallady invitent le spectateur à la contemplation, à la réflexion, à l’admiration. Ce sont des tableaux moins connus au public d’aujourd’hui (beaucoup provenant des collections privées), dont les qualités éveillent l’intérêt pour l’œuvre de ce seigneur de la peinture roumaine. L’artiste s’est avéré le possesseur d’un trésor de sensibilité et de tradition artistique qui l’apparentent aux créations des maitres anonymes, peintres des fresques dans les vieux établissements de culte moldaves, au sens de la construction simple et rigoureuse, des stylisations fondées sur une parfaite logique des simplifications, de la chromatique raffinée, rappelant la transparence des couleurs végétales. Entre Pallady et Matisse, collègues dans l’atelier du même maitre, à Paris, certaines similitudes ont été remarquées ; et pourtant, bien que le même penchant vers la synthèse apparaisse chez tous les deux, Matisse s’avère plus décoratif et plus abstrait, tandis que Pallady est plus intime et plus raffiné.
